Terms of service
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Welcome to Krefters. These terms of service explain the agreement between you and us when you use krefters.eu and when you buy from us. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
1. Who we are
krefters.eu is the webshop of Krefters, operated by:
- Business name: Krefters
- Address: Cornelius Sneyssenslaan 106, 9820 Merelbeke-Melle, Belgium
- Enterprise number: BE 0845.094.880
- Email: info@krefters.eu
You can also reach us through our contact form.
2. When these terms apply
These terms apply to every visit to krefters.eu and to every order you place with us. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
3. Our products
We make custom apparel, lightboxes, stained glass and other handcrafted products. We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can. Because many items are made by hand or to order, small differences in colour, texture, glass pattern or finish are normal and are part of their character; colours can also look different depending on your screen.
Our offer is valid while stocks last. Obvious mistakes in a description, picture or price do not bind us.
4. Custom and personalised orders
For personalised products you can supply your own text, image or design. By doing so, you confirm that you have the right to use it, and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights (such as copyright or trademark rights) or the law. You remain responsible for this content.
Where we send you a preview or proof, please check it carefully. Once you have approved it and production has started, the design can no longer be changed.
5. Prices and payment
All prices are in euro and include Belgian VAT. Shipping costs are shown separately in the checkout before you place your order. We may change our prices at any time, but the price shown when you place your order is the price you pay.
You pay online during checkout with one of the payment methods offered there. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers; we never see or store your full card details.
6. Your order
The contract is concluded when you complete the checkout and we send you an order confirmation by email. Please check this confirmation carefully and contact us as soon as possible if something is not correct.
We may cancel an order in exceptional cases, for example if a product turns out to be unavailable or because of an obvious pricing error. We will let you know immediately and refund any payment in full.
7. Shipping and delivery
We ship with bpost. The available destinations, shipping costs and expected delivery time are shown in the checkout. Products that are made to order need extra production time, which we mention on the product page.
Delivery times are indicative.
The risk of loss or damage passes to you when you or a person you designated receives the parcel. Please check your parcel on arrival and let us know about visible damage as soon as possible, preferably with photos. This helps us solve the problem quickly and does not affect your legal rights.
8. Right of withdrawal (14 days)
As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. This period starts from the moment you receive the good(s).
To withdraw, let us know clearly within this period, for example through our contact form or by email. Then send the product back within 14 days after informing us. The cost of returning the product is for your account.
We refund all payments we received from you, including the standard delivery costs, within 14 days after receiving your withdrawal, using the same payment method you used. We will process your refund once we have received and inspected the returned item(s), or once you have shown proof that you sent them back, whichever comes first.
Please handle the product only as you would in a shop. You are responsible for any decrease in value caused by handling it beyond what is needed to check its nature, characteristics and functioning.
Exception for custom work: the right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to your specifications or clearly personalised, such as items with your own design, name or text, or a lightbox or stained glass piece made to order for you (article VI.53, 3° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law).
9. Legal guarantee
As a consumer in the EU, you are protected by the legal guarantee of conformity. This means that for 2 years after delivery, we are responsible for defects that already existed when you received the product, such as a manufacturing or material fault. The guarantee is not an insurance: it does not cover damage that happens after delivery.
How it works
- Let us know within 48 hours after discovering the defect, with your order number and clear photos of the problem.
- We assess the defect. We may ask you to send the product back so we can examine it.
- If the defect is covered, we first repair or replace the product free of charge.
- Only if repair or replacement is not possible, or does not solve the problem within a reasonable time, are you entitled to a price reduction or a refund.
What is not covered
The guarantee does not cover damage caused by the way the product is used or treated, such as:
- dropping, knocking or breaking the product, or other accidents;
- water or moisture damage, unless the product is explicitly sold as waterproof;
- connecting a lightbox to the wrong voltage, or using a different or damaged adapter, cable or power supply than the one supplied;
- opening, modifying or repairing the product yourself, or having this done by someone other than us;
- not following the care and usage instructions, for example washing apparel too hot, tumble drying it or ironing over the print;
- exposure to extreme heat, fire or chemicals;
- normal wear and tear, such as prints fading over time or scratches from use;
- the natural variations of handmade products described in article 3.
If we find that a problem is not covered, we will explain why and, where possible, offer a paid repair. This article does not limit your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Liability
We are not liable for indirect damage, such as loss of profit, unless caused by our intent or gross negligence. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow this, such as for death or personal injury caused by our fault or under product liability law.
11. Intellectual property
Our designs are original creations of Krefters. Some of them are parodies, caricatures or pastiches inspired by fantasy culture, made within the exception for parody provided by Belgian and EU copyright law (article XI.190, 10° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law).
Krefters is an independent maker. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any film, television, book or game studio or other rights holder.
Our designs, artwork, product photos, texts, logo and the Krefters name are the property of Krefters. You may not copy, reproduce or sell them without our written permission.
Designs you supply for a custom order remain yours; you give us permission to use them only to produce and deliver your order.
12. Privacy and cookies
We process your personal data in line with the GDPR, as explained in our privacy policy. Read how we use cookies on our cookie page.
13. Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as strikes, disruptions at the carrier, natural disasters or failures of suppliers. We will inform you as soon as possible; if the situation lasts too long, you may cancel your order and receive a full refund for anything not yet delivered.
14. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published on krefters.eu at the moment you placed it.
