Use of cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer, tablet or phone when you visit it. They let the website remember things between pages and visits, for example what is in your shopping cart. Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies); others stay for a set period (persistent cookies). Besides cookies, websites can use similar technologies such as local storage. On this page, we call all of these “cookies”.

Our webshop runs on Shopify. Most cookies on krefters.eu are placed by Shopify to make the store, the shopping cart and the checkout work, and to give us statistics about how the shop is used. During checkout, the payment provider you choose may also place cookies to process your payment securely.

We host our fonts and images ourselves or through Shopify, so we do not load fonts or tracking scripts from third parties such as Google or Meta.

These cookies are needed for the webshop to work. They make it possible to keep products in your cart, go through the checkout, pay securely, stay logged in to your account, protect the shop against fraud and remember your cookie choice. Examples are cart, secure_customer_sig, localization and _tracking_consent.

Because the shop cannot work without them, these cookies do not require your consent and cannot be switched off in our cookie banner.

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the shop, for example which pages are visited and how visitors arrive on the site. Shopify collects this information for us and shows it to us as statistics, so we can improve the shop and our products. Examples are _shopify_y and _shopify_s.

We only use these cookies if you accept them in the cookie banner.

These cookies remember choices you make so the shop feels more personal, for example your country, language or products you viewed recently. Where these cookies are not strictly necessary, we only use them if you accept them in the cookie banner.

We currently do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not sell your data. If we start advertising, for example on social media, we will only use marketing cookies with your consent and we will update this page first.

Session cookies are removed when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device for a limited time, from a few minutes up to a maximum of about one year, depending on the cookie. The cookie that remembers your cookie choice is kept so we don’t have to ask you again on every visit.

When you first visit krefters.eu, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline cookies that are not strictly necessary. You can change your choice at any time by deleting the cookies for krefters.eu in your browser: the banner will then appear again on your next visit.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Instructions are available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. Please note that if you block strictly necessary cookies, your shopping cart and the checkout will not work.

Some cookies collect personal data, such as an online identifier. We process this data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
